He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Edward Richards and Jane (Wells); and his sister Peggy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Richards (Thatcher); his children, Scott Richards of Charlestown, Heather Richards of Ledyard and Jill Lusk of Charlestown; his grandsons, Joshua Tefft and Seth Richards; his great grandchildren, Adalyn and Savanna; and his siblings, Brian Richards (Diane), Susan Richards (Roy Fuller), Heidi Perreault (Robert), Carol Cinquegrana, Mandy Humphries (Vincent) and Michelle Mann.
