It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Daniel Babcock of Charlestown, Rhode Island, born in Sterling, Connecticut, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Isaac Babcock and Esther Katherine Babcock (Norgren); and his son Gary Allen Babcock (Ronda). He is survived by: his spouse Jean E. Babcock (Burdick); his sons, George Daniel Babcock, Jr. (Joan) and Glenn Babcock (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Michelle, George Daniel III, Christopher, Amanda, Kayla, Drew, Trevor and Jennifer. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Masonic Franklin Lodge #20 in Westerly, or The First Baptist Church of Charlestown at Quonochontaug.
