He was predeceased by: his spouse Josephine Carsten (Pukas); and his parent William Carten. He is survived by: his parent Carrie Carten (Koenig); and his children, Theresa J. Clarke of Charlestown, RI and Robert A. Carsten of New Jersey. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
