She was predeceased by: her parents, Joao Leite Costa and Rose Andrade Costa; her son Francisco Duarte; and her siblings, Jose Costa, Manuel Costa, Djuca Costa and Matilda Valles.
She is survived by: her husband Antonio Manuel Duarte; her children, Avelino Duarte, Maria Duarte, Matilda Duarte Rodrigues, Benilda Duarte Costa, Claudia Duarte and Nilza Amaral; her siblings, Maria Senna, Hilda Britto, Cidalia Lopes and Belarmino Costa; her great great grandchild Saint Rodrigues; and her daughters, Medina Duarte, Grace DaGraca and Ines Cano. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
