Kells (Carolina, Rhode Island), born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Mae Kells (Alhstedt); his parents, James G. Kells and Margaret M. Kells (McNamara); his sons, Ronald Newman and Walter Newman; and his siblings, Ellen "Peggy" Lennon, Evelyn Kells and Edmund Kells.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Grace Newman of Wakefield, RI; his grandchildren, Kim M. Wilcox (Matthew) of Ohio, Rhonda J. Woloohojian (Peter) of East Greenwich, Cynthia L. Doughty (Jason) of Warwick, James P. Newman (Alexis) of Hope Valley and Ronald Newman Jr. (Jocelyn) of Hope Valley; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Katherine, Hayley, Menas, Mikhail, Jason, Joshua, Jordan, Claire, Megan, Callum, Mackenzie, Zoe, Mitchell, Madison and Molly.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Hope Chapel (80 Richmond Townhouse Rd, Richmond, RI 02812). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Wood River Cemetery.
