He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. King (Quinn) of Narragansett; his parents, Charles L. King Sr. and Alice Pearl King (Browning); and his siblings, Charles L. King Jr., Virginia Arnold (King), Eleanor King and Emogene Geneva King.

He is survived by: his children, Catherine Martineau (Joseph), David King (Mary), Julie LaMountain (Robert) and Amy King-Crandall (Kevin); his grandsons, Daniel and Jason Martineau; his children, Caitlin, Sean, Chase LaMountain, Ryan, Connor, Mariah and Michael King; and his sister Alice Davidson (King).
