It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Vargas of Bristol, Rhode Island, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Vargas to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Vargas and Sadie Vargas (Silva); his child Robin Vargas; and his siblings, Joseph Vargas and Sadie Zufelt.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Vargas (Pereira); his stepchildren, Eric Tarvis (Cheryl) of Riverside, RI, Deborah Phaneuf of Wakefield, RI, Lucretia Cardin of Narragansett, RI and Tamara Bannon (William) of Staten Island, NY.; and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Mello and Chris Vargas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in William's honor to Rhode Island Veterans Affairs, 830 Chalkstone Ave. Providence, RI 02908.
