He was predeceased by: his wife Adelina Tavares (Pereira); his parents, Albert Tavares and Elvira Tavares (Mello); and his sister Dolores Harbach. He is survived by: his daughter Isabel M. Blakely (Guy) of Riverside; his grandsons, Robert Blakely (Lindsey) of Riverside and Jesse Blakely (Brittney) of Riverside; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Hudson, Hayden and Hayzel; and his sister Jean Rose of Arizona.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home (350 Willett Ave, Riverside, RI 02915). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
