She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvador Nunes and Maria Nunes (Schumon); her husband Sam R. Pires; and her siblings, Fernanda Nunes Correia and Antonio A. Nunes.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Karl Correia, Claude Correia, Dawn McKown, Leila Fay, Alan Nunes and Jane Nunes. She is also survived by her 13 great nieces and nephews, and17 great great nieces and nephews.
