He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel and Maria (Da Silva) of Conceicão; and his siblings, Jose Barbosa, Edalina Cordeiro, Maria of Lurdes Ferreira, Lucinda Cordeiro, Hermano Barbosa, Bento Barbosa, Joao Barbosa and Walter Barbosa.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Sara Barbosa (Martins); his daughters, Maria Idalina Botelho (late Manuel) of Bristol and Lucia Young (Anthony) of Bristol; his grandchildren, Jordan (Savannah), Justina (Vincent), Brian, Drayton and Christian; his great grandchildren, Izabella, Alessia and Ellie; and his brother Manuel Barbosa (Conceicão) of Bristol.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the George C. Lima Funeral Home (367 High St, Bristol, RI 02809). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Church (577 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
