He was predeceased by: his father Jose Soares DeMelo. He is survived by: his mother Mary Jose Rego DeMelo (Pinheiro); his children, Joseph DeMelo and Allison DeMelo (Mike Borges); his grandchildren, Jason, Mylah, Mason, Michael and Josie Ann; and his former wife Kristen Sliney DeMelo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George C. Lima Funeral Home (367 High St, Bristol, RI 02809). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Church (577 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the North Burial Ground (1081 Hope St, Bristol, RI 02809).
