He was predeceased by: his wife Adelia Guedes (Capela); and his parents, Jose B. Guedes and Manuela Guedes (Avila). He is survived by: his children, Rui "Roy" Guedes of Bristol, Ana (Bernard Salmon) of Sarasota, FL and Tanya (Sean Gustafson) of Bristol; his granddaughters, Clara Salmon and Ella Gustafson; and his siblings, Madalena Baptista of Providence, Orlando Guedes of Bristol and Ildafonso "Al" Guedes of Pawtucket. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George C. Lima Funeral Home (367 High St, Bristol, RI 02809). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Church (577 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809). A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the North Burial Ground (1081 Hope St, Bristol, RI 02809).
