He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Doctor Arthur J. Metaxas and Presvytera Metaxas of Georgia; and his siblings, Maria and George Koufos. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Metaxas (Fischbach); his children, Adam Metaxas of Attleboro, MA, Christopher (Christine Gorelczenko), Emily (Jamie Danis) and Molly (Hope Galofaro); his grandchildren, Cody Gorelczenko, Tyler Gorelczenko, KC Gorelczenko, Owen Gorelczenko, Wyatt Gorelczenko, Aidan Danis and Camden Danis; his nieces and nephews, Christina, Cosma Karalolos, Alexander, Kat Ypsilantis, Stephanie, Jared Quill, Gina and Brandon Robertson; and his siblings, Donna Metaxas, Kathy and Nick Ypsilantis. He is also survived by his family, friends, former students, and coworkers.
