Gilda D. Canario Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilda D. Canario of Bristol, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel T. Canario; her parents, Augustino and Mary L. Gomes; her siblings, John Gomes and Mary Dryer; and also Daniel P. Costa.
She is survived by: her daughter Jane Machado (Kenneth) of Bristol; her grandchildren, Kenneth Machado (Meaghan) of Bristol and Ryan D. Machado (Ashley Taylor) of Bristol; and her great grandchildren, Andrew Machado and Alethea Machado. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the George C. Lima Funeral Home (367 High St, Bristol, RI 02809). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Church (577 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809).
