He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvaro Lopes and Evangelina Lopes (Amaral); and his brother Alvaro Lopes. He is survived by: his wife Debra A. Lopes (Benevides); his children, Carlos A. Lopes, Jr. (Kylie) and Kathleen A. Lopes (Adam); his grandchildren, Bohden G. Lopes and Wyatt S. Demers; and his siblings, Alda Marie Dennis, Luis Lopes, Valdemar Lopes, Aires Lopes, Bento Lopes and Walter Lopes. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
