He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard John Jr. and Maryann Judith Smith (Brand); his sister Susan Steele; and his nephew Brian Brown. He is survived by: his stepfather George Augustus Smith; his close friend Tara; his sister Patricia Nott; his children, Tanya Austin, Heidi Abosso, Rox-Anne Schick (David Schick), Bambie-Lea Prue and Seannah-Rea Prue; his grandchildren, Kayla Austin, Elizabeth Austin, Kendall Austin, Elijah Austin, Quinten Surber, Ana-Bele Schick (Kai), Scar-Lette Schick (Jayden), Jewley-Ette Schick, Jaxon Paddon and Kay-Lin Richard; and his close friend Greg Porter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
