He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Kanter and Mae Kanter (Kasdan); and his brother Dr. Stephen Kanter. He is survived by: his wife Madeline Daub Kanter; his sons, David Kanter (Peggy Wu) and Joshua (Sarah Kanter); and his grandchildren, Natalie and Gabriel Kanter.
