He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Fairbanks (Rudd); his parents, Eugene Fairbanks and Blodwyn Fairbanks (Hughes); and his brother E. Bernard Fairbanks. He is survived by: his children, R. John of Fairfax, VT, Steven (Maura) of Bristol, RI and Elizabeth Myers (Scott) of Cotuit, MA; his grandchildren, Jori Goodhue, Madison Fairbanks, Tom and Hunter Myers; and his sister Sarah Beecroft of Naples, FL.
