He was predeceased by: his parents, Fabian and Eleanor Chekal (O'Rourke). He is survived by: his wife Eileen R. Chekal (Doyle); his sons, Paul T. Chekal (Lori) of Lynnfield, MA and Brian P. Chekal (Anne) of Niantic, CT; his brother Michael Chekal (late Susan Chekal) of Farmington Hills, Michigan; and his grandchildren, James, William Chekal, Blaize, Zoe and Phineas Mitchener. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
