He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James and Marjorie James (Howell); and his sister Dr. Betty Glanville. He is survived by: his wife Louise A. James; and his children, Richard H. James (Gail) of Riverside, Tessa A. Rivera (Ralph) of Enfield, CT, Peter N. James (Ronda Carvalhal) of Gloucester, RI and Lisa M. Curtis (Clark) of Rehoboth, MA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
