She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hayward and Edith Hayward (Safford); her son Charles Sylvia III; her grandson Benjamin Haight; and her sister Barbara Hayward.

She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Haight of Warwick; and her grandson Nicholas Haight.
