He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merrill Hay and Evelyn McDougall Hay; his son John Hay of Philadelphia; his stepson Scott Anderson of Boulder; his sister Sara Nichols (Barrett Nichols) of Yarmouth Port, MA; and his wife Susan. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
