He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph DeAngelis and Angelina DeAngelis (Lombardi); and his brother Armando. He is survived by: his wife Gerrie; his children, Frederick DeAngelis (Rachel Lively) of Barrington, Scott DeAngelis of North Reading, MA and Roxane Coleman of Warren; his sister Mary Suriani of Barrington; his grandchildren, Michael Zompa, Erica Zompa, Nicole Zompa, Fraser Coleman, Caleb DeAngelis and Eva Lively; his great grandchild Ava Otterbach; and his brothers, Romeo, Mario, Joseph, Salvatore, Ralph, Rocco and Victor DeAngelis.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests in keeping with Fred's spirit, a simple act of kindness be extended to another.
