He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius F. Caye and Geraldine M. Slattery Caye; and his siblings, Francis Caye, Geraldine Carevic and Mercedes Morerman.

He is survived by: his wife Diane C. Boles Caye; his children, Tammey Anne Fleming (Steven) of Rochester, PA, Christopher S. Caye (Tammy) of Fox, OK and Tina Marie Caye of Cranberry Twp; his grandchildren, Chris, Mindy, Becca and Nate; his great grandchildren, Asher and Xander; and his sisters, Noreen Jezerski of Florida, Francine Scates (Tom) of California and Sharon McConnell of Harmony, PA..
