He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Harold Olinger and Hazel Irene Olinger; and his siblings, Robert Harold Olinger, James Foreman Olinger, Ernest Sherman Olinger, John Elliot Olinger, Blaine George Olinger and Nancy Jane Wallace.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ann Simpson Olinger; and his sisters, Margaret Kimpel and Judith Ann Clift. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
