He was predeceased by: his parent Frederick Madaus; his wife Barbara Sweeney Madaus; his son Martin Madaus; and his brother Gerald Madaus. He is survived by: his parent Marguerite Hurley Madaus; his child Barbara M. Madaus (Francis Kostella); his grandchild Benjamin Kostella; his sister Barbara Hastings; and also, Monica Madaus, Peter Madaus (Gwen Pechan) and John Paul Madaus (Kathryn Huber). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Moraine Preservation Fund, 118 North Shore Dr., Portersville PA 16051.
