He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Irene Karin Collasius; his sons, Robert Collasius and George Collasius; his daughter-in-law Crystal Collasius (Kovach); and his grandchildren, Noah Jamison, Charlotte and Matilda Collasius.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helmut's honor to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 920 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh, PA 15229.
