He was predeceased by: his parents, Cloyd Rea and Luella Holmes Rea; his wife Delores "Dolly" Bojarski Rea; his son Chester G. Ciukaj; and his brother Robert Walters.

He is survived by: his son Wally Ciukaj (Rena); his grandchildren, Nicole Ward (Bill) and Chester Ciukaj; and his great grandchild Jazlynn Ward of Youngsville.
