He was predeceased by: his parents, Barton Black and Lillian M. Black (Patmore); and his son Daniel Black. He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Black (Lichtenberger); his children, Jean Benedict of Pittsfield, Susan Griffin (Ray) of Youngsville, Carl Black (Cathy) of Sugar Grove, Jenny Hornstrom of Pleasantville and Molly Hodges (Frank) of Sugar Grove; his daughter-in-law Candy Early Black; and his brother Howard Black (Besse) of York, PA. He is also survived by 10 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 14 great-grandsons, 6 great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
