He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mathers and Alcidine Mathers (Himes); and his brother John Mathers. He is survived by: his wife Susan F. Mathers (Hartley); his children, Harlan Mathers (Julia) of Virginia and Sonia Mathers of Erie; his sister Patricia Marie Cole of Warren; his grandchildren, Sebastian, Abigal, Megan, Joshua, Aaron and Liesl; and his great grandchildren, Connor and Kane Freed.
