Apel Jr. of Youngstown, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 17, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. "Puck" Apel Sr. and Shirley A. Apel (Holmes); and his son Robert A. Apel III (Tisha) of Cranberry Township. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Apel (Wegley); his sons, Jason Apel (Lisa) of Latrobe and Nathan Apel (Kaylee) of Creedmoor; his grandchildren, Sydney and Addison Apel; his sister Susan Apel (Keith Irwin) of Lebanon; and his aunt Mary Lou Rossi (Donald) of Latrobe. He is also survived by many cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
