He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard H. McIlnay and Pearl K. McIlnay (Leonard); and his siblings, Lois Klimchock, Lester, Paul, David and Boyd McIlnay.
He is survived by: his wife June E. McIlnay (Terry) of Youngstown; his children, James S. McIlnay (Tracy Tryall) of Charlottesville, VA and Tracy L. McIlnay of Indiana, PA; his brothers, Jack McIlnay (Gloria) of Alexandria, VA and Clair "Fritz" McIlnay (Carol) of New Alexandria; his grandchildren, Anthony Lamb, Eimile McIlnay Carlisle, Cannon McIlnay and John Carr McIlnay; and his great grandchild Landon Lamb. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
