He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Stewart and Martha McGill Stewart; his wife Hallie Johnson Stewart; his siblings, Robert Stewart, Naomi Stewart Johnson and Leonard Stewart; his sons, Cameron Lamont and James Stewart; his daughters-in-law, Sylvia Stewart and Rita Stewart; and his granddaughter Felicia Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Marthella Allen (Ronald), Jerald Stewart (Earlene) of Youngstown and Dane Stewart of Spring, TX; his daughters-in-law, Shelia and Rosalind; and his niece Robin Stewart Hunter. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.
