It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Thayer Cook of York, Pennsylvania, born in Newton, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 2, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton A. Cook and Marcella J. Cook (Russell); his granddaughter Marcella; and his sister Jane Cardoza. He is survived by: his children, Russell A. Cook of Bel Air, MD, Cindy Cook of Olney, MD and Allison Deschene (Ronald) of Clearwater, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
He had worked for the American Cancer Society in Virginia as a Telemarketer, then moved to Ocean City, Maryland, where he enjoyed working for Edward's Five and Dime General Store, and Dolle's Salt Water Taffy Store.
