She was predeceased by: her husband James R. Stockdale; her grandson Jeffrey R. Thornton; and her sisters, Patricia Gentzler and Shirley Guiffrida. She is survived by: her daughter Carol Ann Thornton (Jeff) of Nags Head, NC; her grandson Todd M. Thornton (Natalie) of Nags Heads, NC; her great grandchildren, Benjamin R. and Rose E. Thornton; and her brother Theodore Harman Jr.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
