Robert K. Miller Obituary
Robert k. Miller "Bob", 60, of York went home to be with his lord and savior on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 13, 1960 in Lancaster to his late birth parents Robert and S. Patricia (Kopp) Bemis. Bob was adopted and happily raised by his parents Ruthanna and the late Robert Miller.
A longtime resident of York, Bob touched many lives. After graduating from Hempfield High School in 1978, Bob worked for many different companies in Lancaster and York, including FKIC, Incorp. starting as a Telemarketer and working his way up to Dept. Manager, York Tree Service as a Tree Trimmer and a Newspaper Deliverer for the York Daily Record. He was also known to lend a helping hand to neighbors by mowing their lawns and shoveling snow each year.
In his spare time, Bob loved spending time with his family, watching NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoyed the mountains as much as he loved the ocean. Although Bob had his share of struggles, he also had such a great sense of humor and was always joking and making people laugh. He was strong, yet sensitive and had a loving heart. Most of all he loved his God and was a longtime member of Starview United Church of Christ in Mt. Wolf.
In addition to his mother Ruthanna, Bob will be missed by three brothers; Ronald Miller, Richard Miller and Roger Miller; Four children, Alex Miller, Adam Miller and two unamed children at their request; Two step children, Lakyn Houck (Deitrich) and Kylie Deitrich; several grandchildren, Austin Miller, Zane Miller, Karamyah Deitrich and the remaining are unamed at their request. Bob will be missed by many other family members and friends as well.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 10:00AM at Starview United Church of Christ, 4832 N. Sherman St. EXT. Mt. Wolf, PA 17347. Due to covid concerns space is limited and masks are required. Any flowers, condolences or contributions can be sent to the church in care of Bob Miller Family.
