He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Ream Husson and Richard W. Engles, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Melissa (Gregory); his sons, Richard W. "Wally" Engles, III (Amy J. Engles) of York, PA and Douglas G. Engles (Shannon M. Engles) of York, PA; his grandchildren, Tessa, Emma, Cody and Colin; and his sister Bonnie Garrity of Millsboro, DE..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "Cancer Patient Help Fund", c/o Wellspan York Health Foundation, 2500 S. George Street, York, PA 17403.
