He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis R. Hess; and his parents, Aaron Franklin Hess and Alice Hess (Sterner) of Virginia. He is survived by: his children, Shirley A. Hess of York and Ronald E. Hess (Stephanie) of York; his grandsons, Aaron M. Hess (Lindsey) of York and Stephen A. Hess (Nicole) of Wheeling, WV.; and his great grandchildren, Addisyn, Kenzie, Reid, Joshua and Hailey Hess.
