It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Boatwright (York, Pennsylvania), born in Westminster, South Carolina, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Siah Gaines and Margaree Holden-Gilbert; and her siblings, Iziah Gaines Sr., Harold Gaines, Robert Long, James Carter, Roy Carter, John D. Carter and Nellie Mae Carter.
She is survived by: her uncle Henry; her aunt Minnie Carter; her husband Adam Boatwright, Sr.; her daughters, Linda Lehigh and Brenda Boatwright of York, PA.; her stepdaughter Valerie Bright Carlisle; her sons, Adam Boatwright Jr. and Robert Boatwright of York; and her siblings, Anna Whitted of Dover, Dorothy Preston (Keenan) of York and Rosemond Gilbert (Joanne).
