He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth E. Waltimyer and Evelyn Waltimyer (Leiphart); and his brothers, Dean Waltimyer Sr. and George Waltimyer. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia L. Larkin (Lonnie) of Morganton, GA, Judith L. Kilby (Ernest) of Windsor, Michael L. Waltimyer (Patricia Yeakel) of Fawn Grove, Kenneth L. Waltimyer (Lark Ann Sowers) of Felton and Carol L. Mecier (Michael) of Windsor; his stepsons, Bryan Lilley of York, John Lilley of York and Robert I. Lilley of Germany; and his siblings, Reynolds Waltimyer of York and Mary Ellen McKinley of Felton.
