He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Horton and Lily Horton (Ratchford); his siblings, Minnie Blenman, Ralph Horton, Floyd Horton, Thomas Horton, Clarence Horton, Willie-Ray Horton and Ronnie Horton; and his son-in-law Keith Copeland.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Ruth Franklin Horton; his close friend Raymond Jackson; his children, Eleanor Horton of Allentown, PA., Bruce Mayberry (Sherry) of Gaffney, S. C., Pamela Horton Grayson (Wendell) of Randallstown, MD, Paula Horton Copeland and Troy Horton (Simone) of York, PA.; his stepdaughter Joyce Martin (Darryl) of Harrisburg, PA.; his nieces, Deborah Horton Orr, Addie Smiley, Evette Freeland and Yvonne Breeland; and his siblings, Samuel Horton Jr., Vivian Miller of Lexington, NC, Charles Horton of Philadelphia, PA and Roy Horton of Gaffney, SC.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
