He was predeceased by: his parents, Vicente Raneses and Paz Oblena; his daughter Caroline Raneses; and his siblings, Elvira Palermo, Alfonso Raneses, Primitiva Calimutan and Margarita Salvahan.
He is survived by: his wife Carmelita N. Raneses (Nanez); his children, Charito Benitez (Joseph), Clarissa Po (Ricardo Po), Chanda Raneses, Celeste Gaela (Walfredo), Jerwyn Raneses (Katrina) and Gregorio Raneses, Jr.; his grandchildren, Janiah Chanel Benitez, Bianca, Ricardo Po, III, Cassandra De Los Reyes, Freya Kylie, Franz Kieffer Gaela, Jeirian, Kia and Keziah Raneses; and his sister Basilisa Mancenido. He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
