With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glen Sherwood Godfrey in York, Pennsylvania, born in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 4, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Godfrey and Edna Godfrey (Keeney); his wife Vera Marie Godfrey (Warner); his granddaughter Jill Y. Dehoff; his son-in-law D. Thomas Merroth; and his siblings, Kenneth Godfrey, Orpha Bahn and Esther Hengst.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon L. (Wayne Sweitzer) of Jacobus, Judith A. Merroth of Downingtown, Carolyn Y. Paup (Gary Kling) of Windsor, Donna L. (Paul Quickel) of Red Lion, Faye L. (Dennis Barshinger) of Windsor and Susan M. (Andrew McKinnell) of Red Lion; and his sisters, Loretta Sweitzer of Red Lion and Bernice Zellers of Red Lion. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.
