He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Spangler, Sr. and G. Helen Spangler (Kissinger); and his wife Helen Spangler (Bowman). He is survived by: his children, Lynne Spangler, Laurie Spangler Rucks, Michael Spangler and Steven Spangler; and his grandchildren, Alicia Spangler of Roanoke, VA, David Spangler and Noah.
