He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Fongong Achu and Elizabeth Makwang; and his son Fonkwa Achu. He is survived by: his spouse Amaa Renatel Achu; and his children, Julie Neh Ndjee (Albert), Dr. Achu Mofor (Emma Sebeey-Mofor), Arimboh Achu, Assen Achu, Fri-Jilla Longchi (Gedeon), Nanga Achu and Bei Matey (Ebenezer).
