He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy M. Ness (Anderson); his son James D. Ness; and his brothers, Richard and Robert Ness. He is survived by: his grandson Joseph Dean Ness of Thomasville; and his siblings, Donald Ness (Roann) of Red Lion, Doris Deisinger of York, Patsy Leiphart of Windsor, Betty Keiser (Wayne) of Windsor and Cindy Lewis of York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
