He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer W. Bode and Bessie M. Bode-Lauer (Schubauer); his brothers, Robert Bode and Theodore Bode; and his stepsiblings, William, Elmer Bodie and Dorothy Luciano.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra L. Bode (Chilcoat); his children, Sharon Bode (John Cimbalo) of Canandaigua, NY and David Bode (Cynthia) of York; his grandchildren, Benjamin Bode (Ciara), Sarah Lingg (Kyle), Morgan Jones (Mark) and Alec Bode; his great grandchildren, Gwendalynn, Hudson Bode, Amelia, Harrison Lingg and Natalie Jones; and his brother Frederick Bode. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
