She was predeceased by: her husband Charles F. Shaffer; her parents, Lester F. Dittenhafer and Florence E. Dittenhafer (Plymire); and her great grandchild Gage Strausbaugh. She is survived by: her children, Linda C. Hopstetter (Joseph D.) of Manchester, Kay L. Strausbaugh (Curvin) of York, Kathy L. Nalbandian (Scott Wolfe) of East Berlin, Michael R. Shaffer (Teresa) of Virginia and David C. Shaffer of Ebensburg; her brother Floyd Dittenhafer (Betsy) of York; and her close friend Ervin Ness of York. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
