With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara L. Nelson of York, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Harold T. Nelson, Jr.; her parents, Clarence Arkward, Sr. and Marie Arkward (Hunter); and her siblings, Clarence Arkward, Jr., Matilda McQaige, John Awkward and Benjamin Arkward.
She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Brown (Mark) of York, Allison L. Jackson (Vincent) of York, Rosalyn Jones (Donald) of York and Charlie Johnson (Stacy) of York; her stepchildren, Andrea L. Nelson of York and Troy L. Nelson of Virginia; and her siblings, Mary Johnson of York, Richard Arkward (Jackie) of Dover and Elizabeth Newton (Larry) of Virginia. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Etzweiler Family Funeral Homes (1111 E Market St, York, PA 17403). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the same location.
