He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gill and Anna Mary "Crater" Gill; and his siblings, Sam, Paul, William Gill, Minnie Pressler, Pearl Hafer and Ruth Leslie.

He is survived by: his sister Betty Watson of York; and his nephew Archie Watson, Jr. (Anita).
